About HardScope

HardScope is a creator media company focused on building and running original intellectual property with influential creators, while giving those creators equity in the projects developed together. The company’s owned-and-operated properties, including HardScope and FaZe Clan, are set to launch new original programming this year featuring both rising and established creators. Its broader ecosystem includes an investment arm, a strong creative and production function, modern distribution, and a commerce development team designed to help creator-led businesses scale. HardScope’s agency practice is led by people who have worked inside the culture and understand how to create moments that resonate with an entire generation.

Role Overview

As Creative Director, you will lead the creative work for HardScope’s key agency client relationships and define how the company’s creative identity appears across campaigns, creator partnerships, and original IP. You will report to agency leadership and work closely with the studio, talent, and brand teams. Over time, this role is expected to grow into building and leading a creative team. The position is best suited for someone with agency creative leadership experience and first-hand understanding of the creator economy.

Creative Direction and Agency Leadership

  • Take full ownership of the creative vision and delivery for HardScope’s agency-of-record accounts, including a major client in the sports betting and entertainment space.
  • Guide creative collaborations across creator integrations, original IP, and campaign work spanning social, content, partnerships, experiential activations, and brand communications.
  • Ensure creator participation in brand partnerships is developed thoughtfully from concept through final execution so the outcome works for both the brand and the creator.
  • Establish the creative standards, briefing structures, and working frameworks used by the agency team.

Original IP and Franchise Development

  • Work with the studio team on show concepts, franchise proposals, and content positioning.
  • Turn cultural observations into commercially useful format ideas.
  • Help shape the visual style and editorial voice of HardScope’s owned programming.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Present creative work to clients, creators, and internal leadership teams.
  • Partner with strategy, account, and production teams throughout the journey from brief to final execution.
  • Direct outside creative partners such as designers, motion artists, directors, and animators.

Compensation and Application

The expected compensation for this role is $130,000 to $170,000 annually, depending on experience. The position is remote, with a preference for candidates based in New York or Boston. Interested candidates should send a resume and sample portfolio to the company’s hiring email address.

What You Bring

  • At least 6 to 10+ years of agency creative experience, with a portfolio that demonstrates both strategic thinking and strong execution.
  • Hands-on experience in the creator economy, whether through creator-led campaigns, creator-native companies, or direct work inside the space.
  • Proven ability to originate ideas rather than only carrying out existing briefs.
  • Background in building integrated campaigns across social, digital, content, and experiential channels.
  • Strong writing skills across campaign messaging, presentations, scripts, and brand voice.
  • Confidence presenting work directly to clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of internet culture, Gen Z behavior, and fandom.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience at a media brand or entertainment company in addition to agency work.
  • Experience directing shoots or content productions.
  • Familiarity with creator talent relationships and management dynamics.
