  • Design and produce digital and physical mood boards and design intentions for holiday homes and lodges.
  • Communicate proactively with suppliers to confirm the availability of products or select suitable alternatives.
  • Keep abreast of key competitors and market trends to ensure alignment with our overarching design strategy.
  • Support updating the Design Catalogue and Product specifications as necessary.
  • Gather and act proactively on both internal and external feedback to enhance design processes and outputs.
  • Create and present design proposals to staff and clients effectively.
  • Provide accurate drawings and visualizations fit for customer presentations and production requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with Commercial, Technical, and Procurement departments.
  • Ensure new products and designs are optimized for manufacturing and conform to project budgets.
  • Supply technical CAD data to suppliers, technical teams, and Bill of Materials coordinators as needed.
  • Participate in trade shows, events, and meetings offsite when required.
  • Fulfill administrative tasks linked to the design function.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Degree in product or interior design, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Skilled at creating fabric and color schemes relevant to holiday homes.
  • Understanding of pertinent manufacturing techniques.
  • Experience in furniture design and a strong interest in interior design.
  • Attentive to detail with a motivated and target-driven approach and a positive attitude.
  • Experience crafting mood boards.
  • Proficiency with 2D AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor for design purposes.
  • Competency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar graphic design software.
  • Strong skills with SketchUp software for both concept creation and final design visuals.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and collaboratively within a team environment.

This fixed-term position offers part-time hours totaling 22.5 per week to cover a maternity absence. Benefits include a competitive salary package, life assurance, a compressed four-day workweek, additional service days, generous annual leave with the option to purchase more holidays, and a pension scheme with employer contributions at 6%.
