Role Overview

As a Craft Beverage Advisor, your main objective will be to create a warm, welcoming, and engaging environment for every guest entering the Gahan Beer Store. If you thrive on connecting with customers, enjoy sharing your knowledge of beverages, and feel comfortable working in a retail setting, this position might be ideal for you.

Primary Responsibilities

• Welcome customers enthusiastically and deliver outstanding service.
• Assist guests by providing expert guidance through our beverage selection and tailor suggestions to their preferences and needs.
• Boost sales by engaging customers, using suggestive selling techniques, and sharing in-depth product information.
• Address customer inquiries promptly and effectively.
• Accurately and efficiently handle sales transactions.
• Ensure displays are clean, well-organized, and fully stocked.
• Keep informed about the latest arrivals, seasonal products, and highlighted items.
• Support product merchandising efforts and product rotation schedules.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the store's success.

Candidate Profile

• Enthusiastic and outgoing with a friendly personality.
• A strong desire to build meaningful relationships with colleagues, customers, and the community.
• A genuine passion for learning, particularly in craft beverages, brewing, or current beverage trends (comprehensive training will be provided).
• Availability to work evenings and weekends.
• Physical capability to lift items weighing between 30 and 50 pounds.
• Excellent attention to detail and possess problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• Possession of a valid responsible beverage service certificate.
• Previous bartending or serving experience is advantageous.
• Prior experience in customer service is highly regarded.
