Job description

Role Overview

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join the Hamilton District Court as Court Registry Officers. This permanent, full-time position is integral to the smooth functioning of the Court, requiring coordination with Judges and various stakeholders involved in the Justice system.

Key Duties

  • Facilitating court sessions by introducing Judges in both English and Te Reo Māori, supporting Judges in Court and chambers, managing jurors, and overseeing general court administration.
  • Handling case management tasks to ensure that Judiciary members and case participants receive necessary information and logistical arrangements are in place for timely hearings.
  • Providing customer service through various channels including face-to-face, phone, and email, addressing any court-related inquiries confidently.
  • Traveling within the Waikato Courts as needed, which requires holding a full clean New Zealand driving licence.
