About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Court Registry Officer to join the Rotorua District Court within the Bay of Plenty region on a fixed term secondment until 27 August 2027. This role is integral to supporting justice access in New Zealand by ensuring smooth court operations and effective collaboration with judicial and legal stakeholders.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding customer service through various channels including face-to-face, telephone, and email to address court-related inquiries.
  • Manage court case files with precision by maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, performing thorough data entry tasks.
  • Assist in the administration and coordination of courtroom proceedings, including introducing judges bilingually (English and Te Reo Māori), liaising with court users and justice partners, and supporting courtroom operations.

Salary and Application Details

The salary range for this position is between $60,729 and $77,043 per year, with final appointment salary commensurate with experience and skills. Applications will be reviewed on receipt, with interviews potentially arranged before the closing date of Sunday 5 August 2026.
