Job description
Role overview
This position focuses on government relations and public affairs work in the assigned country. The role involves navigating local political and administrative networks, supporting public-sector engagement, and helping strengthen the business environment for government-linked projects and investments.
Key responsibilities
- Map and manage the decision-making structure of the country’s government bodies and political parties, while driving public relations efforts that can unlock senior-level engagement, including ministerial-level and above.
- Track and interpret national policies, identify government-related business opportunities, and surface relevant resources.
- Support the AR Project Director in shaping ToG projects and helping move them through execution and delivery.
- Contribute to building a favorable country-level business and investment climate and help establish a productive government-business ecosystem for ToG business growth.
Qualifications and experience
A bachelor’s degree or higher is required. Preferred academic backgrounds include Public Administration, Political Science, Agricultural Economics, Engineering Management, or closely related fields.
The ideal candidate should bring solid experience in government affairs and public relations within the host country. Prior exposure to government sales is an advantage, and candidates with established access to ministerial-level contacts or above are especially preferred. Experience with organizations that handle large-scale government projects will be considered a strong plus.
Skills and competencies
The role calls for strong business communication skills, solid commercial acumen, and the ability to work effectively with government stakeholders. Candidates should also have a deep understanding of how public authorities operate locally and possess meaningful local networks and resources.
