Role Overview

The Country Manager for Singapore will spearhead Notion's growth and operational presence in the region. This leadership role entails building market traction from the ground up, securing initial customers, and developing a scalable and repeatable business model. Reporting to the APAC General Manager, this position commands substantial local autonomy while maintaining alignment with regional and global strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all revenue-generating activities within the Singapore market.
• Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-functioning sales team to drive pipeline and revenue growth.
• Gain deep insight into current and potential Notion customers' workflows and needs to craft effective market strategies.
• Foster community engagement and partnerships within local startup and business ecosystems.
• Represent Notion publicly at events, press engagements, and in executive discussions to enhance brand visibility.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—Marketing, Customer Success, and Professional Services—to ensure customers achieve impactful outcomes.
• Proactively explore opportunities to elevate Notion’s presence across Southeast Asia.

Candidate Profile

• Entrepreneurial spirit with a strong commitment to advancing Notion’s mission and ability to thrive in ambiguity.
• Technical proficiency with AI and Notion’s tools to engage technical audiences effectively.
• Well-connected within Singapore’s startup, venture capital, community, and media sectors.
• Expertise in building scalable ecosystem partnerships rather than one-time events.
• Skilled public representative comfortable with media, industry events, and executive-level communications.
• Collaborative approach to go-to-market strategies, ensuring measurable and systematic ecosystem engagement.
• Proven leadership in assembling and steering successful sales teams with consistent revenue delivery.
• Strong analytical and data-driven operational skills for planning, performance tracking, and resource allocation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years professional experience, including 3+ years in management roles focused on sales, business development, or establishing market presence.
• Experience operating within Southeast Asian markets, spanning startups to enterprise sectors.
• Adaptability to early-stage startup environments with demonstrated resilience amid ambiguity.
• Customer-centric mindset with a passion for growth and revenue generation.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of regional languages such as Mandarin or Malay is advantageous.

Preferred Attributes

• Background in fast-growing SaaS or AI companies focused on Southeast Asia.
• Fluency in Mandarin, Malay, or other regional languages.
• Experience promoting productivity, collaboration, or developer software tools.
• Track record in developing community-led or product-led growth initiatives.
• Curiosity and willingness to apply AI tools to improve work outcomes, though deep AI expertise is not mandatory.
