Role Summary

The Country Manager for Singapore will take full ownership of establishing and expanding Notion's footprint in this market. Acting as a local startup within the company, this leadership position involves driving revenue, building and leading a high-performance sales team, and establishing a sustainable scalable business model aligned with global and regional strategies. The role reports directly to the APAC General Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all revenue generation efforts for Notion in Singapore.
• Recruit, mentor, and manage a capable sales team to consistently grow pipeline and sales.
• Develop a deep understanding of local users’ workflows and challenges to inform strategic market approaches.
• Engage with the local ecosystem through partnerships, community building, startups, and strategic alliances.
• Serve as the public ambassador for Notion in Singapore through media, events, and high-level meetings.
• Collaborate with teams across marketing, customer success, solution engineering, and professional services to deliver impactful customer outcomes.
• Identify and act on opportunities to enhance and expand Notion's presence regionally.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrates founder-like dedication, initiative, and versatility in launching and growing new markets.
• Possesses a strong technical understanding of Notion's AI features and can communicate these capabilities effectively to technical stakeholders.
• Well-connected within Singapore’s startup, venture capital, community, and media scenes.
• Skilled in creating lasting partner networks and designing repeatable community programs.
• Comfortable representing the company publicly, engaging with media, podcasts, conferences, and leaders at various levels.
• Proven leadership in building successful sales teams meeting revenue targets.
• Data-oriented in planning, measuring, and adjusting strategies and investments based on performance analytics.

Required Qualifications

• At least 10 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 3 years in leadership or people management roles within sales, business development, or market-building functions.
• Experience operating in Southeast Asian markets, ideally across startups to enterprises.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous, and evolving business environments.
• Strong customer empathy combined with a passion for driving growth and revenues.
• Fluency in English; additional regional languages are advantageous.

Desirable Attributes

• Background in high-growth SaaS or AI companies within Southeast Asia.
• Proficiency or native fluency in Mandarin, Malay, or other regional languages.
• Experience with productivity, collaboration, or developer tool sales or evangelism.
• History of building community-led or product-led growth strategies.
• Curious and willing to utilize AI tools to optimize work processes and outcomes.
