Role Summary

The Country Manager will spearhead the launch and expansion of Notion's foothold in Singapore, owning revenue growth, market development, and building a scalable local operation. This leadership position requires entrepreneurial spirit to operate a startup-like environment within Notion, overseeing sales and collaborating with marketing, customer success, professional services, and cross-functional teams. The role reports directly to the APAC General Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of revenue generation in the Singapore market.
• Recruit, build, and mentor a high-achieving sales team to drive business pipeline and revenue.
• Gain deep insights into current and potential Notion users in Singapore including their workflows and unmet needs to formulate a market entry strategy.
• Grow brand recognition and build strategic partnerships, community, and startup ecosystem connections in the region.
• Act as the public ambassador of Notion in press engagements, events, and with executive-level stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with marketing, customer success, solution engineering, and professional services to ensure customer satisfaction and success.
• Identify and pursue new regional opportunities to expand Notion's footprint.

Candidate Profile

• Founder mindset with a strong drive to grow a business from scratch and ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Technical and AI savvy, capable of confidently demonstrating Notion and AI Agents to technical audiences.
• Well-connected locally with extensive relationships within Singapore's startup, venture capital, community, and media circles.
• Experienced ecosystem builder capable of creating scalable partner programs beyond isolated events.
• Excellent communication skills and presence in public forums, podcasts, conferences, and executive conversations.
• Proven leadership in building and driving sales teams to consistently meet revenue targets.
• Data-oriented operator skilled in setting objectives, monitoring performance, and making informed decisions.

Required Qualifications

• Over 10 years of professional experience with demonstrated achievements in sales, business development, or market-building roles, including at least 3 years in managerial positions.
• Prior experience managing markets in Southeast Asia, ideally spanning startup to enterprise segments.
• Able to thrive in a fast-changing and uncertain early-stage business environment.
• Strong customer empathy combined with a passion for driving revenue and growth.
• Fluent English communication; knowledge of additional regional languages is advantageous.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience working at fast-growing SaaS or AI firms in the Southeast Asian market.
• Fluency or native proficiency in Mandarin, Malay, or other regional languages.
• Background in promoting productivity, collaboration, or developer tools.
• Proven success in leading community-driven or product-led growth initiatives.
• Curious and willing to adopt AI tools to enhance work efficiency, though AI expertise is not mandatory.
