Role Overview
The Country Manager for Ghana will steer the commercial direction of NCR Atleos Banking in the country. This leadership role carries responsibility for sales outcomes, customer partnerships, regulatory interaction, and delivery execution. The position also owns local growth planning, financial performance, and alignment with wider sales objectives, while representing the organization across financial institutions, public bodies, and internal teams.
Sales and Business Growth
- Guide the sales and relationship management teams in Ghana to win new business, retain accounts, and strengthen customer satisfaction.
- Create and implement sales plans tailored to the country while staying aligned with regional and global priorities.
- Expand revenue and increase share of wallet across financial institutions and priority accounts.
- Keep the sales funnel detailed, reliable, and up to date for forecasting and reporting purposes.
Financial Ownership and P&L
- Take responsibility for customer commercial P&Ls and ensure profitability remains sustainable while costs stay controlled.
- Prepare annual plans, operating budgets, and target-setting frameworks.
- Track financial results closely and introduce corrective measures when performance drifts off course.
Customer, Government, and Stakeholder Management
- Develop strong working relationships with key financial institutions, including senior executives.
- Lead commercial negotiations and supervise the delivery of agreements.
- Represent NCR Atleos at industry events, customer forums, and regulatory meetings.
Compliance and Regulatory Engagement
- Work with government and regulatory bodies to maintain compliance with local legislation and sector standards.
- Ensure business activities follow company policies and governance requirements.
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead a high-performing local team through recruitment, objective setting, coaching, and performance evaluation.
- Encourage a work culture centered on accountability, innovation, and customer focus.
Market Insight and Strategic Input
- Keep a strong understanding of Ghana’s banking environment, including competitors and market developments.
- Share insights and recommendations with regional leaders to support strategic planning.
- Run regular business reviews with regional and global partners.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure smooth execution of sales operations, customer onboarding, and service delivery.
- Create and analyze dashboards covering financial data, sales activity, and operational KPIs.
Reporting Structure
- Provide direct oversight of financial institution sales and relationship management in Ghana.
- Coordinate across Corporate, Marketing, and Product teams to deliver outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 10 years of experience in financial services or banking, with strong exposure to business leadership, sales expansion, and customer management.
- Background in ATM banking or payments is strongly preferred.
- Clear evidence of P&L ownership and delivering steady business growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree would be an advantage.
- Strong strategic and operational judgment.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, including presenting to senior leaders.
- Ability to handle complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and work effectively with global teams.
