Role Overview
The Account Executive for Banking SPA NCR Atleos will be responsible for winning new business while also nurturing important client relationships within the banking and financial services space. The position blends consultative selling with account stewardship, helping customers get the most from the company’s technology offerings and uncovering opportunities to grow existing accounts.
Sales and Business Development
- Prospect, identify, and win new customers in the banking and financial services market.
- Create and implement sales strategies that support revenue and target achievement.
- Own the complete sales process, from initial outreach and qualification to negotiation and final deal closure.
- Develop a healthy pipeline through networking, referrals, and active involvement in the industry.
- Present product demos and solution pitches tailored to client needs.
Account Management and Growth
- Serve as the main contact for assigned banking clients.
- Develop durable, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers in New Zealand and selected Pacific Islands.
- Spot opportunities to expand business through upselling and cross-selling.
- Hold regular account reviews and participate in strategic planning discussions.
- Work to maintain strong customer satisfaction and long-term retention.
Client Success and Delivery Coordination
- Partner with implementation and support teams to ensure clients are onboarded smoothly.
- Track adoption and results so customers realize the intended value from the solution.
- Respond early to client concerns and coordinate fixes with the right teams.
- Represent customer needs internally to help shape product improvements and service delivery.
Market and Industry Engagement
- Stay current on banking-sector shifts, regulatory expectations, and competitor activity.
- Attend and represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.
- Feed market insights back into product direction and go-to-market planning.
Key Skills and Experience
- Proven background in B2B technology sales, preferably in banking or financial services.
- Solid knowledge of banking operations, compliance requirements, and digital transformation trends.
- Ability to manage complex enterprise sales cycles and large client accounts.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Comfort explaining technical solutions in clear business terms.
- Self-driven approach with a consistent record of exceeding goals.
- Experience using sales management platforms such as Salesforce.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or a similar field is preferred.
- Experience selling SaaS, fintech, or enterprise technology solutions is considered highly valuable, especially in ATM, digital banking, or payments environments.
Performance Measures
- Growth in revenue and acquisition of new business.
- Retention and satisfaction of clients, including NPS-style outcomes.
- Incremental revenue from upselling and cross-selling.
- Strength of the pipeline and conversion performance.
