Industry and Role Overview
This is a full-time executive role based in Lagos, Nigeria, within the telecommunications, digital infrastructure, enterprise ICT, and cloud services sectors. The Country Manager & Chief Commercial Officer will lead operations in Nigeria, reporting directly to the Group CEO, steering strategic growth, commercial performance, and building market presence in enterprise connectivity, cloud infrastructure, managed services, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies for Nigerian operations.
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, and spearhead market expansion initiatives.
- Lead the commercial function, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
- Represent the organization in executive, industry, government, and investor forums.
- Identify and leverage new market opportunities and technology trends including digital transformation.
- Own commercial growth areas such as enterprise connectivity, ISP, managed network services, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, telecom infrastructure management, and technology consulting.
- Manage revenue, profitability targets, pricing, go-to-market strategies, and high-value negotiations.
- Lead enterprise sales efforts, building a strong commercial team, and establishing sales KPIs and forecasting.
- Develop and maintain executive level relationships with a wide network including MNOs, ISPs, data centres, government, financial institutions, OEMs, and strategic partners.
- Drive new business acquisition through strategic account management, public/private sector engagements, and digital transformation projects.
- Enhance customer satisfaction and retention by maintaining executive customer relationships and resolving high-level issues.
- Exercise financial leadership over revenue, margin performance, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and commercial reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Recruit, develop, and mentor commercial teams focused on accountability and innovation.
- Ensure compliance with telecommunications regulations, corporate governance, and manage commercial risks.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Telecommunications, IT, Economics, or related fields; MBA or Master’s preferred.
- Professional certifications in Sales, Business Management, Project or Telecommunications Management are advantageous.
- At least 17 years of progressive leadership experience in telecommunications, enterprise ICT, cloud, managed services, or digital infrastructure.
- Proven success in leading large commercial teams, achieving multimillion-naira sales, managing strategic accounts, and closing high-value contracts.
- Established executive relationships within Nigeria’s telecommunications and technology sectors.

- Annual revenue growth and new enterprise customer acquisition.
- Growth in recurring revenue and gross margin.

- Pipeline expansion, sales forecasting accuracy, and market expansion results.
