Since the Bullet brand is currently imported into Cameroon, the role will also encompass local operational tasks such as handling shipment clearance, coordinating distributor stock movement, managing inventory efficiently, and ensuring product availability across main markets and sales channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute comprehensive country-level sales strategies and market growth plans aligned with EnjoyBev's corporate goals.
- Achieve set targets related to volume, revenue, market share, profitability, and distribution reach.
- Prepare and track the annual budget detailing brand-oriented and trade-related expenses, ensuring proper adherence to key performance indicators.
- Uncover new opportunities for expansion across various regions, sales channels, on-trade segments, customer categories, and trade classifications.
- Analyze market trends, competitor behavior, pricing dynamics, consumer preferences, and distribution route efficiency.
- Intensify market penetration and increase the number of outlets across modern and traditional trade platforms.
- Ensure product range reaches interior regions to improve off-take despite infrastructure challenges.
- Identify and implement brand growth initiatives both in existing and new areas.
- Develop strong and collaborative relations with distributors, wholesalers, and key trade stakeholders throughout Cameroon.
- Maintain valid distributor contracts, trading terms, and commercial agreements.
- Monitor distributor effectiveness including stock depletion, rotation, coverage, and payment discipline.
- Lead joint business planning with distributors and channel partners.
- Spot deficiencies in route-to-market strategies and suggest enhancements to improve market access.
- Oversee operational matters such as shipment clearance, warehousing, inventory handling, and market-level distribution.
- Coordinate with clearing agents, logistics companies, distributors, and headquarters to ensure timely product availability.
- Manage stock monitoring, inventory aging, replenishment scheduling, and consistent supply.
- Enhance local brand visibility by managing activation programs, consumer awareness campaigns, and market promotional events.
- Organize trade activations, sampling initiatives, sponsorship efforts, and customer engagement activities for Bullet Energy Drink.
- Guarantee proper application of brand assets across both distributors and agencies during all activation efforts.
- Support adaptation and implementation of marketing initiatives tailored for the Cameroonian market.
- Ensure prominent brand presence in retail outlets and important commercial locations.
- Compose country business plans, market development strategies, and execution frameworks.
- Generate regular performance reports covering sales metrics, market intelligence, operational activities, distributor progress, inventory status, and regulatory updates.
- Assist with yearly budgeting, sales forecasting, and commercial planning.
- Monitor effectiveness based on agreed commercial and operational KPIs.
- Ensure return on investment for all market expenditure and produce corresponding reports.
- Provide insights and strategic recommendations to headquarters regarding market opportunities and risks.
- Handle regulatory compliance and maintain government relations relevant to the Bullet brand.
- Engage with regulators, industry organizations, customs, and government agencies in Cameroon.
- Manage compliance with import regulations, product registration, labeling, and market operational standards.
- Keep track of regulatory changes affecting business operations or market access.
- Support issue resolution and stakeholder engagement relating to market restrictions or compliance challenges.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- At least 10 years of experience in sales, commercial management, trade marketing, FMCG, beverages, consumer goods, or related sectors.
- Proven background in distributor and route-to-market management.
- Experience in beverage sectors including energy drinks, alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages, or FMCG is considered advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of the Cameroon market structure, consumer habits, trade channels, and regulatory framework, with an emphasis on understanding interior regions.
- Experience overseeing supply chain tasks like importation, logistics, or operations is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in growing market footprint, increasing revenues, and achieving strong commercial execution.
