Role Summary

The position of Counterfeit Investigation and Enforcement Manager is a full-time onsite role located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It entails leading counterfeit investigations, collecting and analyzing evidence, and coordinating enforcement measures with brand owners and the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP). The role includes planning and conducting market surveys, monitoring high-risk channels, preparing comprehensive reports, and meticulously documenting all cases and operational details.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage investigations against counterfeit activities.
  • Collect, analyze, and document evidence for enforcement actions.
  • Coordinate closely with brand owners, SAIP, law enforcement agencies, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Plan and execute market surveys to identify risks and trends.
  • Monitor vulnerable distribution or sales channels to detect infringements.
  • Maintain detailed reports and case files for all investigations and operations.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with law enforcement and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Guide internal teams and external partners on best practices in IP and brand protection.
  • Develop preventative strategies to reduce counterfeiting risks.
  • Track the outcomes of enforcement cases and contribute to process improvements.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated investigative skills including evidence gathering, data analysis, and documentation within IP or brand protection environments.
  • Experience coordinating enforcement activities with legal teams, SAIP, authorities, and external collaborators, including raids and seizures.
  • Familiarity with SAIP guidelines and procedures, with hands-on experience in filing complaints and ensuring enforcement follow-up.
  • Ability to design and oversee market surveys and research, interpret results, and convert insights into enforcement strategies.
  • Capability to conduct counterfeit identification awareness training for law enforcement inspectors.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English with strong communication skills for report drafting, stakeholder engagement, and teamwork.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, capable of prioritizing and handling multiple investigations.
  • High ethical standards, discretion, and sound judgment when managing confidential cases.
  • Bachelor’s degree in fields such as IP Law, Law Enforcement, Criminal Investigations, Business, Marketing, Market Research, or related disciplines; additional certifications in IP investigation are advantageous.
  • Preference for candidates with prior experience in brand protection, IP enforcement, compliance, or law enforcement.
  • Willingness to work onsite in Riyadh and engage in fieldwork, market visits, and external stakeholder meetings, with occasional travel domestically or internationally.
  • Competence in standard office software and research tools; familiarity with case management or investigation software is a plus.
