Job description
About the Role
The New York Islanders are looking for a Corporate Partnerships Analyst who will act as the analytics and revenue strategy lead for the partnership business. This position is responsible for maintaining sponsorship inventory, producing reporting and insights, and helping shape valuation and pricing approaches that increase the value of partnership assets. The role sits at the intersection of data and commercial strategy, turning information from multiple teams into practical recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
This role works closely with Oak View Group (OVG) National, whose sponsorship sales, valuation, and activation team partners with the Islanders to sell and activate corporate partnerships across UBS Arena and Islanders properties. The analyst contributes directly to joint revenue planning by supporting inventory review, asset valuation, and rate card development that influence how partnerships are packaged and priced.
Responsibilities
- Administer and keep current all partnership inventory, asset tracking, and deal records in the KORE Intelligence Platform in partnership with the Corporate Partnerships team.
- Create and update Tableau dashboards, reports, and visualizations that support renewals, new business opportunities, inventory usage, and wider department reporting needs.
- Assist the Corporate Partnerships and OVG National teams with revenue strategy through sponsorship inventory analysis, asset valuation, pricing work, and rate card creation.
- Identify and assess new and underused revenue opportunities across broadcast, in-arena, digital, social, off-site, and other developing platforms.
- Coordinate vendor partners and their deliverables for impact studies, partnership surveys, media valuation, and sponsorship tracking, while also evaluating new tools and data sources that can improve reporting and asset development.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis using internal and external datasets to measure reach, effectiveness, return on investment, and overall partnership performance, working cross-functionally with Business Intelligence & Analytics, Marketing, Digital/Social, Ticketing, and other teams.
- Juggle multiple projects and recurring reporting tasks at once, keeping stakeholders informed and meeting deadlines.
- Prepare and submit the NHL mid-year and year-end Sponsorship reports, and support NYI Finance with the annual NHL HRR report creation and submission.
- Maintain the OVG Partnership Matrix for UBS Arena and the New York Islanders.
- Monitor and track New York Islanders digital signage traffic in coordination with the NHL.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, Sports Management, or a closely related discipline is required.
- At least 2 years of experience in sponsorships, partnership marketing, survey research, business analytics, revenue strategy, or a similar role with a team, venue, league, brand, agency, or media company.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL, Tableau, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
- Experience with the KORE Intelligence Platform and Salesforce CRM is preferred.
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and stay proactive in a fast-moving setting.
- Strong analytical ability, including the capacity to turn business goals into clear insights that support revenue growth, asset development, pricing, and partnership performance.
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to present insights in written, verbal, and visual formats for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A collaborative, flexible, and curious mindset, along with the ability to quickly learn new tools and support a team-first environment.
- Must be able to work extended hours and a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays when required.
Work Arrangement
This is a hybrid position with 4 in-office days each week: 1 day in the OVG NYC office and 3 days in the New York Islanders Floral Park office. The schedule must remain flexible to meet business needs, including events that may take place on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Core Strengths
- Adaptability to shift priorities quickly and handle changing needs.
- Self-motivation to drive outcomes and support success.
- Independence in managing time and prioritizing work effectively.
