Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Finance Expert for a contract role focused on advanced financial modeling and decision support. This position is fully remote and offers competitive hourly compensation.

Key Responsibilities

• Construct comprehensive business cases and investment appraisals utilizing techniques like Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and payback analysis to support project decisions.
• Perform capital allocation analysis by ranking investment opportunities against established hurdle rates and reviewing portfolio balance.
• Develop scenario and sensitivity models for corporate planning that examine variables such as demand, pricing strategies, and cost structures.
• Assess pricing tactics and discount strategies to aid in price setting and deal desk approvals, focusing on margin impacts.
• Conduct market sizing studies, competitive landscape evaluations, and analyze cohort and unit economics along with cost baselines and savings to inform cost reduction initiatives.

Qualifications

• A minimum of four years’ experience in strategic finance, corporate strategy, or corporate planning roles within operating companies.
• Demonstrated responsibility for capital or pricing decision-making that has been presented to senior leadership forums.

Preferred Backgrounds

• Experience in management consulting or Big 4 strategic roles with a transition into operational leadership positions.
• Previous involvement in growth equity investment teams now working in-house.
• Expertise in deal desk operations or pricing strategy formulation.

Assessment Overview

• Preparation of a business case including NPV and IRR based on provided mock project data.
• Development of pricing and margin proposals.
• Ranking of capital allocation options.
