About the Role
This Corporate Accountant position is responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance. The role reports to the Finance Manager - Corporate Accounting and works alongside other Corporate Accountants in a collaborative environment. It is a 10-month fixed-term contract.
About You
The company is looking for an organised, proactive accounting professional with a formal accounting qualification. Ideally, you are a Chartered Accountant or CPA, or are currently progressing toward one. You should bring 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience, along with a strong understanding of CAPEX, inventory, and large corporate group environments. The role may suit a first-time Commerce graduate or someone moving out of practice, particularly from a Big 4 or mid-tier firm.
You will need strong people skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to present financial information clearly using Excel and PowerPoint. Good time management, a focus on continuous improvement, and a solid grasp of IFRS accounting are important for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle month-end accounting activities in line with IFRS requirements.
- Support the preparation of monthly consolidated management reports for the group.
- Prepare financial commentary to help guide business decisions.
- Manage group CAPEX and inventory reporting.
- Assist with the corporate budgeting process.
- Ensure all balance sheet and related accounts are reconciled accurately and on time.
- Work with external auditors during audit processes.
- Contribute to finance projects and carry out other tasks within corporate finance as needed.
- Prepare and submit required documents for external reporting obligations such as BAS, FBT, surveys, and similar filings.
- Maintain consistency across the group’s reporting hierarchy.
- Support finance integration work for newly acquired or added businesses.
- Guide operating businesses on hierarchy setup and related decision-making.

Additional Requirements
