Position Overview
We are seeking a highly creative, insightful contract Copywriter based in Canada to join our Social team part-time. The ideal candidate will possess deep experience in social media copywriting, content strategy, and creative development. This role supports Social, Editorial, and Design teams by shaping creative direction across pitches, social content, and marketing campaigns. Responsibilities include establishing campaign tone and voice, generating content ideas, crafting copy and scripts, editing decks, and ensuring alignment with brand messaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate innovative ideas ranging from quick-react social content to large-scale hero video concepts.
- Adhere to creative guidelines provided by the Social Lead and execute accordingly.
- Participate in client meetings, presenting creative concepts and acting as a liaison between Saylor and clients.
- Write social media, deck, community management, and other related copy tasks.
- Develop tone and voice frameworks for high-profile campaigns and pitches.
- Collaborate with Creative Production, Strategy, Design, and Editorial teams to bring ideas to life through scripting and production coordination.
- Offer strategic advice on content execution and internet language to underpin creative decisions.
- Pitch creative ideas and copy to clients when required.
- Coordinate with Account and Strategy teams to maintain consistent brand visual language and messaging.
- Perform quality control and final reviews of creative assets before release.
- Support Social Lead with creative execution aligned to campaign goals.
- Provide feedback and guidance to creative teams ensuring timely asset development within project parameters.
- Help refine copy and design elements for consistency with brand messaging and aesthetic.
- Communicate client feedback effectively and promptly through project management tools and messaging platforms.
- Work alongside Strategy to optimize content for multiple social platforms to maximize audience engagement.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 3-5 years of agency or in-house studio experience creating and leading marketing or branded content.
- Exceptional storytelling ability with confidence in presenting and selling creative concepts to clients.
- Strong knowledge of entertainment and fandom culture paired with natural wit.
- Keen eye for potent ideas and execution, able to articulate effectiveness clearly.
- Informed on current creative culture across platforms, drawing inspiration from diverse sources.
- Capable of managing multiple projects of varying complexity simultaneously.
- Excellent time management skills to meet demanding deadlines.
- Skilled at providing and receiving constructive criticism professionally.

Additional Information
This role is a freelance contract position requiring the contractor to be based in Canada. The hourly pay range is between 50 and 75 USD, depending on experience.
