About the Role and Organization
The Sport & Youth Hostel Rheine, featuring 160 beds, welcomes approximately 15,000 guests annually. Our team ensures the comfort and wellbeing of families, school classes, sports teams, and holiday camp participants. Situated adjacent to the city park, the hostel has been recently renovated and reopened in April 2024.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in meal preparation while adhering to operational cost considerations and established quality standards.
- Perform preparatory tasks such as cutting, plating, and portioning food items.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and dining area in compliance with hygiene and quality guidelines.
- Properly store inventory and conduct regular checks on goods.
- Support daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth workflows.
- Set up buffets and manage food service distribution.
Candidate Profile
- Genuine enthusiasm for culinary work and kitchen duties.
- Strong team spirit, reliability, and awareness of hygiene standards.
- Experience in gastronomy is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Motivation to embrace diverse daily tasks and interact with varied guest groups.
- Ability to handle pressure responsibly and maintain trustworthiness.
