Role Overview

We are seeking reliable Cooks to join our team, preparing nutritious and appealing meals that support the health and wellbeing of service users. The role involves working according to set menus and maintaining high standards of food hygiene while ensuring the kitchen operates safely and smoothly.

Main Duties

  • Prepare meals and snacks following planned menus.
  • Accommodate special dietary needs and personal food preferences.
  • Adhere to safe food handling and hygiene protocols.
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization within kitchen areas.
  • Bake home-made goods as required.
  • Assist with stock management including checking inventory and ordering supplies.
  • Record keeping including temperature logs and other safety documentation.
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations.

Candidate Profile

You should possess strong time management skills and be dependable in a hands-on kitchen environment. A willingness to follow food safety standards and uphold rigorous cleanliness is necessary. Candidates must hold or be willing to acquire an Elementary Food Handling Certificate through provided training. Basic IT proficiency is required for completing mandatory training tasks. Membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is mandatory or you must be willing to join.
