About the Position
The Jugendherberge Rotenburg is a large youth hostel with 245 beds, accommodating approximately 12,500 guests annually. Our 20 dedicated employees support families with children, school classes, sports and music groups, as well as conference attendees. The location boasts extensive grounds with many nearby recreational opportunities.
We are currently seeking a Cook (m/f/d) to join us immediately on either a Minijob basis or part-time at 30 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute actively to designing and delivering a varied and appealing food offering, from planning to execution.
- Prepare, cook, and serve both warm and cold dishes that meet high nutritional, taste, and presentation standards, including buffet supervision.
- Work collaboratively in a well-structured kitchen environment that values clear procedures and team cooperation.
- Ensure compliance with all hygiene regulations as well as the Smile® quality management standards.
- Perform supportive tasks such as cleaning, dishwashing, goods receipt, and inventory control.
Desired Qualifications and Attributes
- Completed training as a Cook or in household management.
- Passion for good food, attractive meal presentation, and overseeing buffet service.
- Friendly and open demeanor, good manners, and a neat appearance.
- Team player with creativity and enthusiasm for contributing and implementing ideas.
- Good command of German, a flexible, resilient, and proactive approach to work.
