About the role

Navodaya Institute of Technology in Raichur is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller of Examinations to take charge of the institution’s examination administration. The role calls for someone who can manage the process with strong organization, sound judgment, and strict confidentiality.

Key responsibilities

  • Organize and oversee internal, semester-end, supplementary, and autonomous examinations from planning to completion.
  • Make sure examinations are conducted smoothly, fairly, and in line with academic rules and regulations.
  • Manage sensitive tasks connected with question paper preparation, printing, secure storage, and distribution.
  • Track answer script assessment and ensure results are published within the required timeline.
  • Protect the confidentiality, accuracy, and integrity of all examination-related work.
  • Work closely with department heads, faculty members, and university representatives on examination matters.
  • Administer hall tickets, exam timetables, grade sheets, and student academic records.
  • Address examination complaints, malpractice issues, revaluation requests, and backlog exam procedures.
  • Ensure all autonomous and university examination processes follow applicable guidelines and procedures.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of examination systems and academic administration practices.

Required qualifications and experience

  • A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks from a recognized university is required.
  • A Ph.D. in Engineering, Technology, or Management is preferred.
  • The candidate should have 10 to 15 years of teaching experience in an AICTE-approved institution.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of direct experience in examination cell administration, such as serving as Assistant CoE or Deputy CoE, is expected.
  • The role demands complete integrity, strong analytical ability, familiarity with examination automation tools, and a solid understanding of regulatory requirements.
