Project Overview
The Ar Rjum Project is a greenfield gold mining initiative featuring three open-pit mines, waste dumps, ore stockpiles, a processing plant, tailings management, and supporting infrastructure including water and power supply, maintenance facilities, offices, and accommodation. It is located in the Central Arabian Gold Region, about 200 km northeast of Taif and 26 km south of Al Mouwayh along the Jeddah-Riyadh highway.
Role Summary
The role involves subcontract formation and administration. Responsibilities include leading bid package preparation and review, developing contract procedures, administering subcontracts through progress monitoring, forecasting, and communicating issues, ensuring compliance with project needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure subcontract execution and conformance.
- Lead negotiations for subcontract commitments.
- Develop and issue subcontracts and service agreements as assigned.
- Prepare bidders lists and pre-qualify vendors.
- Assemble and distribute bid request packages, handle bidder inquiries.
- Receive, evaluate bids commercially, and prepare bid summaries with recommendations.
- Ensure approvals are obtained per procedures and prepare documents for contract execution.
- Organize and conduct project meetings (pre-bid, bid clarification, pre-award) to confirm contractual understanding among all parties and document meeting outcomes.
- Manage subcontract assignments per the Supply Chain Assignment Schedule and standard procedures.
- Continuously review subcontract progress, report financial or technical risks to management.
- Coordinate operational activities impacting contract rights, subcontract performance, and major issues with designated staff.
- Negotiate and settle moderately complex contract changes with customer personnel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent.
- 8-10 years relevant experience; alternatively 12-14 years of related work experience.
- Proven expertise in formation and administration of large, moderately complex construction and service contracts.
- Strong communication skills across all project levels.
- Experience with diverse contract types and pricing methodologies.
- Knowledge of change management processes including RFIs, change notices, orders, amendments, claims, and dispute resolution.
- Skilled in negotiations of contract terms, conditions, and variations.
