About the Role

Green Life Science is looking for a seasoned Medical Writer on a contract basis, specializing in rare diseases, with a preference for expertise in Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency (AATD). This position involves working directly with clients to support a specialized programme by translating complex clinical and scientific data into clear, precise, and engaging documents and presentations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Craft scientifically sound and compelling content for client projects.
  • Design and develop polished slide decks and presentation resources.
  • Prepare detailed written reports, summaries, and diverse medical communications.
  • Analyze and clearly explain complex clinical and scientific findings.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to grasp project needs and offer regular progress updates.
  • Ensure all outputs conform to scientific accuracy and meet the client’s goals.
  • Adhere to deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Proven track record as a Medical Writer.
  • Expertise in medical communications related to rare diseases.
  • Experience with Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency (AATD) is highly preferred.
  • Excellent scientific writing and editorial capabilities.
  • Proficiency in producing presentations and written medical materials.
  • Comfortable engaging with clients and managing expectations.
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to independently meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

  • Advanced degree in life sciences (MSc, PhD, PharmD, or comparable).
  • Background in medical communications agencies or pharmaceutical sectors.
  • Knowledge of publication planning and best practices in scientific communication.
  • Skills in interpreting clinical literature swiftly for tailored audiences.

Contract Details

  • Initial six-month contract, pending confirmation.
  • Part-time role with approximately two working days per week.
  • Competitive day rate negotiated based on candidate experience.
  • Remote or hybrid work setup depending on client needs.
