Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage diseases of the gums and the tissues that support the teeth.
  • Carry out advanced periodontal treatments such as scaling and root planing, flap surgery, gingival grafting, bone grafting, guided tissue regeneration, crown lengthening, and soft tissue augmentation.
  • Place dental implants, restore them, and address any complications related to implant treatment.
  • Build detailed treatment plans together with general dentists, prosthodontists, orthodontists, oral surgeons, and other specialists.
  • Guide patients on preventive oral care, long-term periodontal maintenance, and post-procedure recovery instructions.
  • Keep complete and accurate clinical records while following infection prevention, quality assurance, and patient safety protocols.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary case reviews, CME activities, clinical audits, and continuous quality improvement work.
  • Support and mentor junior dental professionals and help maintain high clinical standards within the department.

Requirements

  • A DDS or BDS degree, followed by an accepted postgraduate specialist qualification in Periodontics such as MDS, MSD, DClinDent, PhD, or an equivalent credential.
  • Board certification or another formally recognized consultant-level qualification in Periodontics.
  • Between 5 and 10 years of experience after specialization at consultant level.
  • Must be eligible for, or capable of obtaining, Qatar medical or dental licensure.
  • Strong hands-on experience in periodontal surgery, implant dentistry, and full-spectrum periodontal treatment.
  • Well-developed clinical judgment, communication ability, and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong commitment to evidence-based, patient-focused dental practice.
  • Preference will be given to professionals qualified under PQR Tier 1 or Tier 2.
  • Prior work experience in internationally accredited hospitals, dental centers, or multispecialty clinics is preferred.
  • Additional fellowship training or certification in Implant Dentistry will be considered an advantage.

Benefits

  • Attractive tax-free compensation with a broad benefits package.
  • Medical insurance coverage.
  • Annual paid leave and airfare provided according to company policy.
  • Support for professional growth and Continuing Medical Education (CME).
  • Licensing support for candidates who meet the eligibility criteria.
  • Opportunity to work in a modern, technologically advanced dental facility alongside a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
