About the Role
The Taleb Group along with the Turkish Hospital in Doha, Qatar, seeks a highly experienced Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist specializing in surgical care to join their medical team. This full-time role requires providing expert clinical and surgical care addressing a wide spectrum of obstetric and gynaecological conditions with emphasis on patient safety and exemplary standards.
Key Surgical Procedures
- Anterior colporrhaphy and anterior colpoperineorrhaphy
- Colposcopy
- Operative laparoscopy and laparoscopic ovarian drilling
- Laparotomy for ectopic pregnancy
- Total abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy (TAH-BSO)
- Operative and diagnostic hysteroscopy
- Hysterotomy including abdominal approaches
- LEEP procedure (Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure)
- Myomectomy (removal of fibroids)
- Obstetric hysterectomy
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide expert consultations, diagnostics, treatment plans, and follow-up care for obstetric and gynaecological patients.
- Execute surgical interventions with precision and safety.
- Manage pre-operative evaluations and post-operative recovery care.
- Develop tailored treatment strategies for individual cases.
- Collaborate effectively with anesthetists, nurses, midwives, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain detailed and accurate clinical records.
- Adhere to governance policies, infection control procedures, patient safety protocols, and ethical standards.
- Engage in clinical case discussions, peer reviews, and quality enhancement initiatives.
- Communicate clearly and counsel patients and their families regarding treatment and care.
- Update clinical expertise through continuous professional education.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Medical degree plus recognized specialist qualification in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
- Valid and current medical registration or license from the pertinent regulatory authority.
- Proven track record with gynecological and obstetric surgical procedures as specified.
- Strong operative skills and decisive clinical judgement.
- Dedication to patient safety and evidence-based care practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to function well within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fellowship or equivalent postgraduate specialist qualification in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
- Additional expertise in minimally invasive surgical techniques.
- Experience with advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures.
- Previous work experience in hospital or specialized women’s health settings.
