Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) to oversee monitoring activities at a data center construction site. The role involves ensuring strict compliance with security standards, project specifications, and construction protocols throughout the building or renovation phases. The CST will apply knowledge of ICD-705 security practices to secure different facility zones and collaborate with construction teams, security staff, and project leads to maintain site integrity and safety.

Primary Duties

• Conduct ongoing surveillance of construction sites to verify conformity with prescribed security measures and construction quality standards.
• Manage site access controls to guarantee entry only for authorized individuals.
• Interpret architectural plans and blueprints to understand intended use and detect any concealed purposes.
• Report security breaches, safety infractions, or deviations from compliance promptly to responsible authorities.
• Keep detailed records of daily site activities, incidents, and observations.
• Coordinate with project management and security teams to resolve compliance or safety issues.
• Perform regular inspections to ensure all construction work adheres to quality and safety requirements.
• Provide consistent updates and reports to project leaders regarding construction progress and concerns.

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum of three years’ experience performing as a Construction Surveillance Technician.
• Proficiency with surveillance technologies and equipment.
• Familiarity with data center construction processes and industry standards.
• Strong understanding of security and safety protocols relevant to construction environments.
• Knowledge of technical surveillance countermeasures and general construction principles.
• Ability to maintain meticulous attention to detail while working independently or collaboratively.
• Capability to effectively address and resolve conflicts and issues swiftly.
• Possession of an active TS/SCI security clearance.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Desirable Qualifications

• Excellent observation, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration preferred; Master’s degree advantageous.
• Certifications in Construction Management or Security are favorable.

Security Clearance

Candidates must undergo a security background check and meet the eligibility for classified information access, requiring a TS/SCI clearance.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation ranges from $61,900 to $141,000 annually, influenced by location, experience, and qualifications.
