Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Manager specializing in healthcare and hospital projects to join our team for construction supervision tasks in Ras al-Khaimah, UAE.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the project's Health and Safety management program.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and maintain professionalism among Stantec safety engineers on site, promoting continuous improvement.
• Oversee all Stantec construction execution activities and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) supervision.
• Conduct assessments for constructability and buildability.
• Support the Project Manager in reviewing project sequencing and phasing to optimize construction progress.
• Participate in weekly meetings concerning contractor logistics, progress updates, and HSE matters.
• Prepare comprehensive monthly reports covering construction and HSE aspects.
• Collaborate with technical managers to prepare preliminary handover documentation.
• Assist Project and Commercial Managers in evaluating claims, extensions of time, variations, and changes from Stantec's standpoint.
• Support project handover processes and final walkthroughs alongside Project and Technical Managers.
• Ensure compliance with Stantec's contractual obligations and authority regulations related to health, environment, and safety.
• Review and provide feedback on construction documents pertinent to health, environment, and safety as required.
• Evaluate site logistics plans and associated documents to ensure alignment with project safety and operational requirements.

Candidate Qualifications

• At least 15 years of experience overseeing construction of large-scale buildings, preferably involving reputed international consultancy exposure.
• Prior experience working within a consultancy environment is mandatory.
• Previous involvement in delivery and construction of healthcare or hospital facilities is highly desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline from an internationally recognized university.
• Robust engineering and technical foundation.
• Good understanding of site logistics and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices.
• Strong integrity, organizational skills, and a proactive attitude.
• Proven ability to manage conflicts effectively and make autonomous decisions.
• Professional communication skills to interact with contractors’ site management and engineers.
• Flexible and adaptable to manage a variety of tasks and workload efficiently.
