Job description
About the opportunity
This is a project-based opportunity with Mindrift, where subject-matter specialists contribute to AI testing, evaluation, and improvement work for major technology companies. The work is not a permanent role; instead, contributors join individual projects and complete tasks as needed.
Applicants are asked to submit a CV in English and clearly state their English proficiency level.
What you may work on
Project assignments can differ, but typical tasks may include the following:
- Assessing how a rule should be applied by reviewing a compliance item such as an advertisement, disclosure, or policy against a specific regulation, then pointing to the exact subsection that is relevant or breached.
- Preparing sanctions alert disposition cases with documented false-positive reasoning and escalation paths.
- Creating compliance testing scenarios, including sample selection, test planning, documentation of findings, and memo-style conclusions suitable for an examiner.
- Identifying policy gaps where an internal policy is missing a regulatory requirement, conflicts with the regulation, or has not been updated after a regulatory change.
- Recording every test case with validated citations to the precise regulatory subsection, without estimating or inventing references.
Candidate profile
This work suits professionals with experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, legal services, or wider financial services, especially those open to part-time project work rather than a fixed employment arrangement.
Preferred background includes a degree in Law, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related discipline, along with at least 2 years of experience in compliance, audit, legal, risk management, or financial services. Recent or current exposure to compliance and regulatory work, financial crime matters, or adjacent functions is valuable.
Strong citation discipline is essential: you should be comfortable identifying the exact subsection of a regulation that applies and stating when something is uncertain instead of guessing. A CRCM, CAMS, or similar local credential is considered a strong advantage, and prior work as a regulatory examiner or inspector is equally beneficial. Strong written English at C1 level or above is also expected.
How the engagement works
The process follows a simple sequence: apply, complete the qualification step(s), join a project, work on tasks, and receive payment.
Time commitment and compensation
During active project phases, the expected workload is about 10 to 20 hours per week. This is only an estimate and is not guaranteed.
Contributors can earn up to the equivalent of USD 60 per hour on this project, depending on experience level and working pace. Compensation can vary from project to project based on scope, complexity, and required expertise.
Additional information
Participation is project-based and temporary in nature rather than ongoing employment.
