Role Overview

This position is for a Compliance Analyst based in India, offered by a partner company managing all application processes. The role focuses on enhancing compliance, operational integrity, and security within a dynamic SaaS business that serves clients worldwide.

The Compliance Analyst will play a vital part in upholding and refining enterprise compliance programs by adhering to leading security and regulatory frameworks. Responsibilities include audit governance, risk evaluations, procedural enhancements, and policy formulation to ensure effective control environments.

This role requires collaboration with international teams to implement controls, prepare audit documentation, and promote ongoing improvements across departments. It is well-suited for professionals detail-oriented and motivated by complex problem-solving and operational optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and oversee internal audits related to processes, security, and compliance across various business units.
  • Facilitate external compliance evaluations by assembling necessary documentation, presenting audit evidence, and liaising with stakeholders.
  • Respond to customer audit inquiries by collecting relevant data and working jointly with global collaborators.
  • Report audit outcomes, monitor remediation initiatives, and engage with responsible parties to guarantee closure within set timelines.
  • Execute compliance gap analyses to support framework updates and assist in implementing corrective controls.
  • Stay informed on regulatory changes and evaluate their implications for existing compliance policies and workflows.
  • Maintain and enhance compliance-related documents, including policies, procedures, risk registers, and records of continuous improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to identify control gaps and enhance business processes.
  • Deliver compliance and security training sessions to internal personnel as needed.
  • Contribute to business continuity planning activities such as impact assessments and plan maintenance.
  • Support responses to security, quality, and risk questionnaires submitted by customers and partners.
  • Continuously expand professional knowledge about compliance frameworks, cybersecurity measures, and regulatory standards.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in compliance, security management, service or risk management, or similar roles.
  • Expertise with compliance and security standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 20000, ISO 9001, CSA STAR, SSAE18 SOC 1/SOC 2, FDA, NIST, NIS 2, or TISAX.
  • Proficient in conducting audits, gathering evidence, validating controls, and managing remediation efforts.
  • Experience in policy formulation, documenting processes, and executing compliance training programs.
  • Comprehensive understanding of system and network security principles alongside business operations.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies, reporting software, and spreadsheet data analysis.
  • Strong analytical mindset with keen attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills for handling sensitive compliance issues professionally.
  • Organizational aptitude to independently balance multiple priorities.
  • Preferably holds or will obtain within 12 months ISO 27001 or ISO 20000 Lead Auditor certification.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including a shift window between 11 AM and 11 PM IST (any 9-hour period).
