Role overview
This is a full-time remote position based in India. The role requires close coordination with Finalsite’s global HR, Finance, Payroll, and Legal teams, along with external advisors and vendors, to manage statutory, corporate, tax, and compliance matters.
As the Company Secretary & Global Compliance Executive, you will be responsible for ensuring timely legal and statutory compliance in India and acting as a central coordination point for global compliance and tax-related activities.
Working hours
Because Finalsite operates as a global organization, the selected candidate must be comfortable working from 11:30 AM to 8:30 PM IST, with core collaboration hours from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM IST.
India corporate secretarial responsibilities
- Keep the company compliant with the Companies Act, 2013 and all other relevant corporate regulations.
- Handle MCA/ROC submissions, statutory registers, annual filings, and maintenance of corporate records.
- Draft board meeting and shareholder meeting notices, agendas, minutes, and resolutions.
- Work with auditors, legal counsel, and outside company secretaries as needed.
- Track statutory due dates and make sure all obligations are completed on time.
Global compliance coordination
- Coordinate with external tax, legal, payroll, and compliance professionals across international locations whenever required.
- Monitor compliance calendars, regulatory filings, and deadline-driven obligations.
- Collect the needed information, keep compliance records updated, and follow up with external advisors to ensure timely completion of compliance and tax tasks.
- Maintain trackers, corporate records, and documentation that is ready for audit review.
- Spot compliance risks and escalate concerns to the relevant stakeholders.
- Support tax audits by arranging documents and replying to information requests.
- Compile financial and statutory details needed for tax filings.
Qualifications
The company is looking for a qualified Company Secretary who is an Associate or Fellow Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and holds a valid ACS/FCS membership number.
Applicants should have 3 to 6 years of relevant post-qualification experience in corporate secretarial work and statutory compliance. Strong familiarity with the Companies Act, 2013, MCA/ROC compliance, and corporate governance is required. Experience working with external auditors, law firms, and consultants is important, along with strong communication skills for engaging with global stakeholders, external advisors, and senior leaders. The role also calls for excellent organization, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, exposure to multinational environments, and the ability to manage several priorities in a fast-moving setting.
Residency requirement
This remote opportunity is open only to permanent residents of India. Applicants must currently live in India and continue to reside there for the duration of their employment in order to join and remain employed with Finalsite.
