Job description
About the Role
This is a full-time, ongoing opportunity within a feminist organisation focused on advancing gender equality and supporting women, young women, and gender diverse people. The role is based in Bendigo, on Djandak (Dja Dja Wurrung Country), with a hybrid arrangement that combines office work and work from home.
The position runs for 38 hours per week and sits at Social & Community Services Level 4. The hourly rate is $46.70 to $49.16 plus superannuation. Additional benefits include salary packaging of up to $18,550, paid parental leave, and access to career development.
The role is designed for someone who is practical, people-oriented, and motivated by helping residents secure and maintain safe, stable housing. It is more than housing administration; it is about creating real social impact through supportive tenancy work.
What You’ll Do
You will contribute to sustainable tenancies through active tenancy management, timely coordination of maintenance issues, and clear, respectful communication with residents and stakeholders. In this role, you will be the approachable contact point for housing services and help build the trust, stability, and connection that residents need.
You will work as part of a collaborative, values-led team that centres compassion, support, and shared learning, while helping create safe homes that can change lives.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate brings experience from tenancy management, property services, or a similar area. You should care about people-first work, be comfortable establishing respectful relationships, and be able to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
Flexibility, community-mindedness, and an interest in working locally are important in this role. If you do not meet every requirement, you are still encouraged to apply if the position feels like a strong fit for your experience and values.
Additional Information
For full role details, refer to the position description associated with the vacancy.

The organisation’s culture, known as The Y Way, is grounded in intersectional feminism and guided by three core values: Striving for Equality, Acting from the Heart, and Working Better Together.
Recent culture survey results indicate strong employee sentiment, including 96% feeling supported by their team, 95% seeing the values reflected in leadership, and 93% saying they would recommend working there.
Application Process
Applicants are asked to submit a resume and a cover letter explaining why they are the right person for the role. Applications close at the end of the day on 12 July 2026, though early submission is encouraged because the role may close sooner if a suitable candidate is identified.
The organisation is committed to an inclusive and equitable workplace and welcomes applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, LGBTQIA+ communities, people with disability, and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
Support is available throughout recruitment for candidates who need assistance to participate fully.
Selection Requirements
Preferred candidates will need to complete pre-employment screening, which includes a working rights declaration, a medical and pre-existing injuries declaration, a valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle, a valid state-based Working with Children Permit or willingness to obtain one, and a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check. Any disclosable findings will be reviewed in context and will not automatically rule out progression.
