Its culture is built around fairness, respect, equality, diversity, inclusion and active engagement, with a strong commitment to continuous improvement in these areas.
Role Overview
Enable Ireland is looking for a motivated Community Connector to join Limerick Adult Services. The post sits within the Strive project, which is designed to help 5 service owners with physical disabilities move from their current living arrangements into new homes within the community.
Reporting to the Strive Project Team Lead, the successful candidate will be part of the transition group team and will contribute to outcomes focused on independent living and personal development. The role involves supporting service owners to build a lifestyle and live as active members of their chosen community. To meet the needs of the service, evening and weekend working will be required, and the contract will operate on a seven-day roster.
Contract and Working Hours
This is a full-time permanent contract for 39 hours per week, pro rata per annum.
Pay and Leave
The salary scale for the role is €35,070 to €42,440 per annum, pro rata, with salary scale progression subject to LSI (Long Service Increments). This pay scale is expected to increase in 2026 in line with the recent WRC agreement on enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations. Annual leave entitlement is 30 days per annum, pro rata.
Essential Criteria
- QQI Level 5 Care Skills qualification, including a module on special needs, or an equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience supporting adults with disabilities.
- Background in the disability sector, including work as a keyworker and supporting Person Centred Plans for adults with disabilities.
- Strong knowledge of adult protection and lone working practices.
- Full clean driving licence with no restrictions, and willingness to drive Enable Ireland vehicles.
- Eligibility to work in the state.
