Role Overview
The Communications Specialist contributes significantly to crafting and delivering effective internal messaging that enhances employee engagement and advances business goals. Reporting to the Manager of Employee Communications, this position involves collaborating with team members to implement communication strategies, generating compelling content, and coordinating communication efforts among various internal groups.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing internal communication aligned with business strategies and initiatives.
- Create, edit, and publish engaging internal communication materials like emails, intranet articles, presentations, and FAQs.
- Manage timelines, deliverables, and approvals to ensure seamless rollout of communication campaigns.
- Lead less complex communication projects and contribute to broader cross-functional programs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess communication needs and deliver precise, targeted messages.
- Oversee and update content across different communication platforms including intranet, SharePoint, and newsletters, maintaining consistency in tone, branding, and accessibility.
- Review communication analytics and feedback to identify improvement areas and boost employee engagement.
- Participate in continuous enhancement initiatives by sharing insights, applying best practices, and optimizing methods.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in communications or related disciplines.
- Exceptional writing and verbal communication abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience producing content suited for varied channels and formats.
- Excellent organizational and project coordination capabilities managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to thrive in dynamic, collaborative workplace settings.
- Knowledge of communication metrics and reporting is advantageous.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), SharePoint, and internal communication platforms.
