About Elementl Power

Elementl Power Inc. is a developer and independent power producer specializing in advanced nuclear projects, delivering scalable solutions for clean and resilient energy. By providing complete development, financing, and ownership services, the company enables customers to access nuclear power without managing operational responsibilities.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Communications & Community Affairs Manager to join our expanding team. Reporting to the VP of Communications & Corporate Affairs, this role involves leading community engagement, managing media relations, and coordinating communications for Elementl's nuclear projects. Responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with local officials, environmental groups, and community organizations, as well as supporting media interactions and project milestones across various governmental levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary communications liaison for the Project Management Office and Project Director, overseeing strategy, planning, and implementation of communication activities throughout project phases.
  • Collect and coordinate information from project and corporate teams to ensure timely, accurate communication to external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with third-party communications and public affairs agencies to design and execute community relations plans tailored to each nuclear project location, ensuring consistent messaging.
  • Serve as Elementl's main contact for local community stakeholders including elected officials, businesses, educational institutions, environmental groups, and residents.
  • Develop and nurture partnerships with key local organizations to boost project awareness and support.
  • Monitor local public sentiment, identify priorities, and explore opportunities for collaboration.
  • Support legal and regulatory teams in navigating permitting and regulatory procedures by engaging with elected representatives and agencies.
  • Organize and lead community-facing events such as public meetings, roundtables, educational sessions, site visits, and institutional collaborations.
  • Manage local media relations through proactive outreach, responding to press inquiries, coordinating interviews, and preparing spokespeople.
  • Create clear, accessible content on technical topics including environmental impact, regulatory progress, construction phases, safety measures, and community benefits.
  • Produce various communication materials including FAQs, talking points, fact sheets, presentations, and digital content aligned with corporate branding.

Qualifications & Experience

Candidates should have 5 to 7 years of experience in communications, community relations, public or government affairs, paired with a bachelor's degree in Communications or a related discipline.

  • Proven experience engaging with community stakeholders, local officials, and media representatives.
  • Ability to conduct community market research and design engagement strategies and programs.
  • Independent work capability alongside collaboration with external agencies and internal corporate teams.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with shifting priorities.

Prior experience in energy, infrastructure, or regulated sectors is a plus.

Preference will be given to candidates residing in Southeast Ohio, particularly near Columbus.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $115,000 to $135,000 annually.

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans.
  • Generous paid leave including vacation, personal time, and flexible scheduling.
  • Company-sponsored short-term and long-term disability insurance plus life insurance.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with a competitive company matching program.
  • Additional benefits aimed at supporting employee well-being and professional growth.
