Job description
Role Overview
As a Communications and Marketing Strategist, you will be responsible for designing, authoring, and overseeing all communication efforts related to the Resiliency Programme's products. This involves crafting communication strategies, key messaging points, and articulating the value propositions of products across various channels within the program.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and disseminate monthly product updates, release notes, newsletters, and FAQs that translate complex technical platform information into accessible, user-friendly content.
- Manage content on Developer and Products portals, ensuring clarity and alignment with non-technical audiences through concise copy and value statements.
- Oversee communication schedules, templates, content repositories, and stakeholder dissemination lists to maintain consistent and timely communications.
- Ensure all communications adhere to organizational standards regarding branding, accessibility, governance, and security.
- Monitor and analyze engagement metrics across communication platforms to evaluate reach and optimize future messaging strategies.
- Guide editorial quality and maintain standardized templates for incident and operational notifications, ensuring professionalism and consistency.
- Review advisories and announcements created by incident and operations teams to confirm clarity, appropriate tone, and alignment with internal standards.
- Develop and upkeep branded templates for incident and maintenance communications used during service events by operational teams.
- Support agency onboarding, community interaction, and product uptake by preparing structured content and event materials.
- Produce supporting materials such as presentation decks, session documents, and promotional copy for enablement events including webinars, workshops, and office hours.
- Create original event content for conferences, showcases, roadshows, and external events.
- Generate follow-up communications and announcements to aid engagement teams liaising with partner agencies.
- Identify and document agency success stories and case studies that highlight product benefits and foster organization-wide adoption.
Required Skills & Experience
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in UK English, with the ability to simplify complex technical ideas without heavy marketing jargon.
- Experience in strategizing and executing multi-channel communication campaigns using platforms such as EDMs, Telegram, and Slack.
- Proficiency in organizing and conducting virtual enablement events like webinars and workshops.
- Strong organizational skills coupled with the ability to manage stakeholders and collaborate effectively with Product Managers and Engineering leads.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Mass Communication, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in product marketing, developer communications, or technical communications, preferably within governmental or tech sectors.
