Job Overview
As a Commercial Space Business Analyst at H&M, you will concentrate on enhancing the assortment mix and sizing of product offerings, ensuring the smooth implementation and management of projects, and assisting global functions with testing and rollouts of initiatives. This role is based onsite in the Toronto Support Office and reports directly to the Commercial Manager.
Primary Duties
- Optimize both the product assortment and the size of the offering.
- Deliver commercial insights to guide portfolio strategy by analyzing sales data and demand patterns through catchment area studies.
- Coordinate with continental supply partners regarding replenishment adjustments and stock blocking in response to unexpected store performance fluctuations caused by factors like renovations or external disruptions.
- Define the omni-channel commercial business case, ideal assortment mix, and store capacity for new stores, renovations, and portfolio enhancements using appropriate tools.
- Monitor interior tracking in sales markets seasonally to gather inputs for ideal store space capacity planning for future projects.
- Ensure thorough project implementation and execution across various store projects including new openings, rebuilds, and closures by managing allocation actions aligned with project timelines, and coordinating with logistics and regional teams.
- Conduct site visits alongside Visual Project Leads to confirm commercial execution excellence and superior customer experience.
- Monitor project outcomes and disseminate learnings with Sales Markets and global teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Expansion, area teams, store personnel, Visual Project Leads, and other stakeholders to drive project success and improve assortment and offer size.
- Provide data-driven feedback to Store Design teams regarding layout capacity aimed at maximizing sales performance.
- Support global functions in rolling out tests and other international initiatives.
Candidate Profile
- Formal education in quantitative fields such as Business or Finance is considered beneficial but is not a strict requirement.
- Strong analytical capability with experience in building business cases and calculating ROI.
- Proficient in connecting commercial analysis with store setup and layout planning.
- Demonstrated project management expertise.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in Commercial Merchandising or Expansion roles.
- Comprehensive understanding of both Expansion and Commercial Merchandising workflows.
- Knowledge of supply chain and garment flow complexities.
- Awareness of physical store operations and daily routines.
- General understanding of the current store portfolio within the market.

Compensation Details
The salary for this position is $97,200 annually. Note that compensation may vary based on candidate qualifications and may be adjusted over time. This position is salaried and exempt from overtime.
