Role Overview
As a Commercial Relationship Manager based in Wellington, you will oversee a portfolio of business customers by developing and nurturing profitable relationships. Your primary objective is to understand each client's unique business requirements, simplify their banking experience, and deliver customized solutions that contribute to deposit growth and customer acquisition.
This permanent full-time role operates standard business hours from Monday to Friday, totaling 37.5 hours weekly.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and expand relationships with business customers within an allocated portfolio.
- Gain an in-depth understanding of clients’ business goals and proactively offer tailored financial solutions.
- Promote value-added workshops, materials, and access to specialist support to enhance client engagement.
- Drive growth through acquiring new customers and strengthening bonds with existing clients.
- Enhance the bank’s presence by networking effectively and communicating ANZ’s value proposition clearly.
- Collaborate with team members across business divisions to support customer growth and success.
- Provide exceptional customer service to develop lasting professional relationships and networks.
Candidate Profile
- Proven ability to identify and secure new deposit opportunities from clients new to the bank.
- Strong networking capabilities, including lead generation and referral cultivation.
- Excellent communication skills with aptitude for building trust and influencing key stakeholders.
- Experience fostering trusted relationships with decision-makers.
- Sound understanding of business financial concepts such as cash flow, liquidity, and banking products.
- Capability to recognize prospects in deposits, lending, payments, and transactional banking products.
- Background knowledge in not-for-profit, education, charity, or community sectors is advantageous.
- Experience managing and growing deposit portfolios, including identifying surplus cash opportunities, is desirable.
- Established professional networks and experience sourcing opportunities via referral partners are pluses.
