Overview
This opportunity is for a Commercial Operations Director based in Italy and posted on behalf of a partner organization that handles applications and all subsequent hiring steps. The position blends strategic commercial leadership with direct execution. Key Accountabilities
- Set the commercial direction for the medical devices regulatory services business across EMEA, making sure plans support both growth and profitability goals.
- Deliver revenue growth, expand the market footprint, and improve sales outcomes through structured planning, execution, and performance reviews.
- Develop and protect strong relationships with major customers, sector stakeholders, regulators, and strategic partners.
- Spot new business prospects, partnerships, and commercial initiatives that can create sustainable long-term value.
- Lead, coach, and grow regional commercial teams while building capability, engagement, and future succession strength.
- Own forecasting, budgeting, and business-planning processes, with close attention to KPI tracking and performance management.
- Work in close partnership with global and regional teams to support smooth delivery and a strong customer experience.
- Improve commercial operations through process refinement, efficiency gains, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or commercial leadership, preferably in medical devices, regulatory services, or quality assurance.
- A solid history of growing revenue, achieving commercial targets, and running effective business operations.
- Proven ability to lead, organize, and develop high-performing international teams.
- Strong business judgement, strategic thinking, and a customer-focused approach.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and planning in a complex multi-market setting.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills, including engagement with senior executives.
- Good understanding of market dynamics in regulated industries such as medical devices or healthcare-related services.
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related discipline; an MBA or similar advanced qualification is considered an advantage.
