Overview
This is an exciting role for someone looking to partner closely with a rapidly expanding hospitality-led real estate business across the UK. The Commercial Finance Analyst will go beyond routine reporting to influence operational and strategic decisions concerning pricing, occupancy, budgeting, and growth planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models to assist with budgeting, forecasting, and long-range business planning.
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and senior management to provide insightful commercial analysis that informs strategy.
- Create pricing models and assess commercial prospects to optimize revenue across the multi-site property portfolio.
- Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to underpin investment evaluations, business cases, and growth projects.
- Analyze trends in occupancy, revenue, and profitability to identify risks and opportunities across locations.
- Support preparation of annual budgets, quarterly updates, and monthly performance reports.
- Evaluate refurbishment and office reconfiguration investments with comprehensive financial assessments.
- Deliver management information and data dashboards that translate complex data into actionable commercial insights.
- Work closely with operational teams to understand core business drivers and enhance financial outcomes.
- Identify improvements for financial reporting, modeling, and planning processes to support scaling.
- Contribute to ad hoc commercial projects including acquisitions and strategic initiatives as required.
Candidate Requirements
- Prior experience in data analysis, pricing analysis, FP&A, Commercial Finance, or financial analysis roles.
- A strong commercial mindset with an ability to challenge and influence business decisions effectively.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including building complex financial models from the ground up.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, scenario modeling, and financial planning.
- Comfortable explaining financial information clearly to both finance-specialist and non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience with Power BI is favorable; knowledge of SQL is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Background in hospitality, real estate, or multi-site business environments is highly desirable.
- Progress towards professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or a related degree is beneficial though practical business experience is equally valued.
