Job description
Overview
This role focuses on inspecting, collecting, documenting, and reviewing commercial and industrial field assessment data across Marion County. The work ensures that property details are accurately measured and entered into the property tax database on time so Assessment Division teams and other city and county agencies can rely on the information.
The position works within established laws and IAAO standards that guide most day-to-day decisions. When procedures are not already defined, the role is expected to use sound independent judgment while operating under supervisory direction. Most other work is routine and performed with moderate oversight. This position reports to the Manager of Commercial and Industrial Field.
