Position Overview
We are seeking a Collection and Delivery Driver to support our BMW team at Barretts Jaguar in Canterbury. This role operates on a zero-hours contract and involves managing vehicle logistics for both car and motorcycle sales and service divisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Transporting vehicles safely between locations as required by the sales and service teams.
- Operating both manual and automatic vehicles, including towing small trailers when necessary.
- Providing backup driving services for the group courtesy bus during periods of absence.
- Maintaining a proactive and positive approach to all tasks assigned.
- Collaborating effectively within a team environment while ensuring professional and courteous interactions with colleagues and customers.
- Implementing problem-solving techniques and contingency measures when logistical challenges arise.
Candidate Attributes
- Possession of a full driving licence for both manual and automatic vehicles.
- Flexible availability given the ad-hoc nature of the work schedule.
- Excellent communication skills and a smart, professional appearance.
- Strong customer service orientation with polite and reliable demeanor.
