Job description

About the Role

This position is for experienced quantitative professionals who want to contribute to AI model training. You will collaborate with advanced AI systems on work such as reviewing machine-generated quantitative analysis, tackling technical challenges, and offering feedback that helps improve how the models reason through data, modelling, and scientific questions. The role is suitable for people whose background is in areas like data science, astrophysics, economics, biostatistics, operations research, or other numerically focused disciplines. Some contributors do this alongside another full-time job, while others make it their main work.

How the Process Works

After creating an account, you will complete a short assessment that acts as the screening step. If successful, you will receive confirmation by email and paid work will then become available on the platform.

Contract Benefits

  • You can select the projects you want to take on and decide when you work.
  • The work is done on your own computer, from wherever you are most comfortable working.
  • Compensation starts at USD 50 to USD 100+ per hour, with additional bonus rates on some projects.

Responsibilities

  • Check AI-produced quantitative outputs for correctness, including statistical work, predictive modelling, scientific reasoning, and data-based conclusions.
  • Create and solve quantitative tasks that help train and evaluate AI systems in forecasting, experimental analysis, optimisation, and statistical inference.
  • Develop concise technical explanations and maintain well-structured analytical code.
  • Share feedback that helps improve future AI models focused on quantitative reasoning.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of practical experience in a quantitative job or research setting, such as data science, statistics, economics, finance, physics, biology, epidemiology, operations research, or a related area.
  • Some coding ability is required, along with comfort reviewing and writing analytical code from start to finish.
  • Hands-on exposure to statistical techniques, predictive modelling, and experiment design, including A/B testing, hypothesis testing, regression, classification, and time-series forecasting.
  • Strong English fluency at native or bilingual level, plus solid writing skills.
  • A bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline is preferred, such as Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering; a master's degree or PhD is an advantage.
  • Additional proof of expertise, such as Kaggle competition rankings or AWS/GCP machine learning certifications, is a plus.

Payment and Contract Details

Payment is issued through PayPal, and currency conversion from USD is handled by PayPal. You will never be asked to pay any money to participate. This is an independent contractor role. Only applicants based in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand will be considered.
