About the Role
Purdue University Fort Wayne is looking for a full-time, on-site Club Sports Coordinator to join its Campus Recreation department. This role involves administrative oversight and operational management of the university's Club Sports Program, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and supporting student involvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Club Sports Program including advising student leaders, facilitating club operations, overseeing resources, and guaranteeing compliance with university, league, and risk management standards.
- Design and execute leadership education, training, communications, and engagement strategies to promote student growth and program efficiency.
- Oversee administrative and financial tasks including budgeting, travel arrangements, facility and equipment logistics, marketing, and policy implementation.
- Organize and support home Club Sports events by handling logistics, staffing, facility operations, equipment management, and addressing participant needs.
- Act as the main on-site representative during competitions, providing support to players and stakeholders, managing operational issues, and responding to incidents following risk management protocols.
- Lead program assessment, reporting, and continuous improvement based on data analysis to support decision-making and program development.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Sports Leadership, Recreation Management, Athletic Administration, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related discipline.
- Between one to three years of professional experience in collegiate recreation, club sports, intramurals, athletics, student affairs, event management, or related fields.
- Experience advising student organizations or directly supporting college students in leadership development.
- Background in coordinating programs, events, competitions, or recreational sports activities.
- Proven experience in budget management, travel coordination, facility scheduling, and applying risk management standards.
- Ability to interpret and enforce policies effectively.
- Knowledge of collegiate recreation and club sports operations, including safety and risk management protocols.
- Skills in event planning, program management, financial oversight, leadership development, conflict resolution, and supervising teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification is advantageous.

Compensation
