Job description
Role overview
In this role, you will help organisations get more value from cloud and AI by guiding them through transformation using Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure, data, and AI offerings. The focus is on helping customers modernise systems, improve analytics, and develop smarter applications that support stronger operations and business results, with security and compliance built in.
You will work within the Small, Medium Enterprises and Channel (SME&C) business and play a key part in growing opportunities, expanding pipelines, and driving scale through partner-led motions. The role also involves shaping customer strategy through workshops, prototypes, and solution sessions, while working across sales, marketing, channel, and technical teams to close deals and deliver measurable outcomes.
Microsoft’s broader mission is to help every person and every organisation achieve more. The company emphasises a growth mindset, innovation, collaboration, respect, integrity, accountability, and inclusion.
Sales excellence
You will identify and qualify cloud and AI opportunities by building long-term customer relationships and understanding priorities, budgets, and procurement processes. The role includes developing strong business cases tied to measurable results, using competitive strategies to win business, and maintaining a healthy pipeline with regular progress updates.
You will also support growth in cloud infrastructure migrations, major data transformation work, and service consumption opportunities across target accounts.
Scaling and collaboration
Success in this position depends on close coordination with account teams, technical teams, internal stakeholders, and partners. You will help execute strategic customer plans, organise resources for proof-of-concepts and minimum viable solutions, and ensure the right partner expertise is involved in important customer conversations.
Industry awareness and customer engagement
The role includes running customer workshops with partners to uncover needs and generate interest in transformative technologies. You will deliver demos and accelerators for business and technical decision-makers, and use tools and programs to educate customers and create new opportunities.
Sales execution
You will focus on customer outcomes by strengthening relationships with decision-makers and supporting digital transformation initiatives. This includes driving year-over-year growth in larger accounts, increasing workloads in mid-sized accounts, and keeping a strong, high-quality pipeline by responding to digital engagement signals.
Learning and development
You are expected to stay up to date with market trends, solution capabilities, and customer needs, and to use skilling programs to support both your own learning and customer adoption.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field plus at least 5 years of technology-related sales or account management experience is required. As an alternative, applicants with 6 or more years of technology-related sales or account management experience are also eligible.
Preferred experience includes solution sales or consulting services sales, along with Microsoft Fundamental certifications in Azure, Data, and AI.
Additional information
This role remains open for a minimum of 5 days, and applications are accepted continuously until the position is filled.
