Role overview
An opportunity has opened up for a Clinical Trials Coordinator to join the Research team at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre in Northwood, London for a fixed 12-month assignment. In this role, you will work closely with Research Nurses and Clinicians to help deliver clinical research studies and support the wider Research team.
The position focuses on the administrative side of clinical trials and requires work to be carried out in line with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and Trust policies. You will be part of a well-established research department with more than 100 research staff across the Trust.

Key responsibilities
The coordinator will help ensure clinical trials are set up efficiently and on time, while also supporting the day-to-day running of trial activity.
- Support the clinical research team with the administration required across clinical trials.
- Help coordinate the timely setup of studies and trial-related processes.
- Keep databases and spreadsheets up to date and prepare monthly recruitment progress reports.
- Track invoices, raise them when needed, and flag any inconsistencies for escalation.
- Handle daily trial tasks, including completion of case report forms and processing amendments within required deadlines.
- Support quality checks for trial documentation in line with applicable legislation and guidance.
- Help prepare teams for audits and inspections.
- Manage trial-related communication appropriately and in accordance with data protection requirements.

Pay and benefits
The role includes a High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of basic salary, subject to a minimum of £4,870 and a maximum of £6,137 per year, pro rata.
