Job description

About the role

Cogstate develops digital tools that help measure cognition more accurately and efficiently across clinical research, healthcare, and everyday use. Its assessments are used internationally and have supported thousands of clinical studies, including large neuroscience and neurology programs. The company’s teams combine science, operations, psychology, data, and technology to improve brain health outcomes with a patient-centered approach.

The organization is hiring an Associate, Rater Services to support the Rater Training Program and coordinate activities across several workstreams. This position acts as a key link between internal teams and sponsor-designated training contacts, helping keep clinical trial operations moving smoothly and on schedule.

The role involves oversight and delivery support for assigned clinical trial programs, with responsibility for reporting, communication, tracking, and quality management. It also includes helping maintain strong working relationships with study sites, raters, CRO partners, and sponsors.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records, trackers, and high-volume email or site communications.
  • Adjust priorities as study needs change and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Support and guide junior team members, including reviewing their work output.
  • Assist Rater Services Managers with day-to-day study activities as needed.
  • Serve as the main contact for sites, raters, and CRO partners from study start-up through close-out.
  • Keep projects moving so client deliverables are completed on time.
  • Communicate directly with site staff and provide operational support during the full study lifecycle.
  • Support delivery and tracking of Phase I-III clinical trials, including alignment with the project scope of work.
  • Monitor and communicate milestones and deliverables to the study PM, sponsor, or Rater Training Lead.
  • Take on the Rater Training Lead function for small to medium studies.
  • Coordinate scheduling and communications for consultants/LEAD personnel.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree, or equivalent relevant experience, is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience connected to clinical trials.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience may also satisfy the background requirement.
  • Experience in CRA/CRO environments is considered an advantage.
  • Background in project management or a service-oriented industry is preferred.
  • Strong multitasking ability, structure, attention to detail, and organized working style.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for working with internal teams, customers, and third-party providers.
  • Ability to learn quickly, work on your own, plan ahead, and act proactively.
  • Comfortable using computers at a strong working level; clinical software exposure is preferred.
  • Ability to perform well in a fast-moving, expanding environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including support and conflict resolution.
  • Careful work habits, strong problem-solving ability, and a high standard for checking work.
  • Excellent record keeping and adherence to procedures.
  • Proficiency with Excel and other Office tools.

Perks and benefits

  • Remote-first setup, with the ability to work from anywhere in the United States.
  • 20 days of vacation leave per year.
  • 10 days of personal leave per year.
  • 10 paid public holidays each year.
  • 401(k) matching up to 3% of annual salary.
  • Competitive base pay plus potential additional earnings depending on the position.
