Role Overview
This role functions as a player-coach, balancing active clinical practice with operational and clinical leadership responsibilities over the Women's Health service line. The Service Lead handles first-line clinical escalations, daily workload management, and protocol maintenance within the specialty.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the Women's Health service line, including workload balancing and task reassignment among clinicians based on licensing and capacity.
- Serve as the initial escalation point before clinical management or Medical Director.
- Participate in weekly clinical team meetings focused on service line updates and training.
- Collaborate with operations teams on staffing, scheduling, and capacity planning.
- Lead updates and maintenance of clinical protocols specific to Women's Health.
- Head the relevant 6S continuous improvement program.
- Mentor and onboard Nurse Practitioners (NP Is and IIs), acting as a primary trainer during orientation.
- Engage in quality and safety improvement initiatives and attend related meetings.
- Maintain clinical practice as a MD/DO/NP II with a reduced patient panel to accommodate leadership duties and manage the most complex cases within the service line.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license (FNP, AGNP, or AGACNP); compact Registered Nurse license required for multistate coverage.
- National certification from AANP or ANCC.
- Minimum of 2 years as a Clinical NP II or 3+ years equivalent external NP experience with successful internal credentialing.
- Demonstrated competence in at least two service lines before cross-training to a third.
- Consistent clean quality assurance and key performance indicators for at least two consecutive quarters.
- Telehealth licenses held in at least 15 states.
- Complete DEA/CDS registration corresponding with state licensure.
- Proficiency with EMR documentation and asynchronous care delivery.
- Subject matter expert knowledge of the Women's Health service line.
- Top-quartile key performance indicator performance sustained for four consecutive quarters.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completed leadership training either internally or through recognized external programs such as AONL or ANCC nursing leadership.
- Experience in peer mentorship, protocol contributions, or process improvement initiatives.

- Annual salary range: $155,000 - $175,000.
