Job description

Overview

This part-time Clinical Research Coordinator role involves performing routine clinical research coordinator duties but with a limited schedule. It is an hourly position eligible for overtime, specifically designed for part-time staff within the Emergency Medicine department.

Key Duties

  • Gather and document study-related data accurately, entering information into designated databases.
  • Secure informed consent from study participants under minimal investigator oversight and provide education about study protocols and participant requirements.
  • Support various research functions such as responding to communications, screening potential participants, enrolling subjects with sponsors, and administering questionnaires regarding lifestyle.
  • Assist in compiling and submitting grant proposals and documents to regulatory bodies including IRB and Grants and Contracts Office.
  • Maintain source documents and participant files in line with hospital guidelines, ensuring comprehensive data collection through detailed chart reviews.
  • Manage clinical specimen logistics including securing, transporting, and shipping as per study protocols.
  • Prepare documentation and materials for monitoring visits and inspections.
  • Undertake additional related assignments as required.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in science or an allied field is preferred; alternatively, a combination of pertinent research experience and education may be acceptable.

Compensation
