Role overview

The Clinical Research Coordinator I supports the day-to-day running of clinical studies within Rehabilitation and Human Performance. This role is responsible for coordinating study activities, securing informed consent, organizing research records, and helping with grant-related documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Gather study information, record data accurately, and enter it into the research database.
• Obtain informed consent with limited oversight from the investigator and explain study expectations to participants.
• Support operational tasks for clinical research, including answering calls, pre-screening participants for eligibility, registering subjects with the sponsor, and administering lifestyle questionnaires.
• Assist with preparing and submitting grant materials, IRB documents, and filings for the Grants and Contracts Office.
• Keep source records and participant files organized and compliant with hospital procedures, and verify completeness through chart review.
• Handle clinical specimens as required by the protocol, including securing, transporting, delivering, and shipping them.
• Prepare materials and logistics for monitoring visits.
• Carry out additional duties related to the research program as needed.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in science, or in a closely related discipline, is required. No prior experience is necessary, although one year of research experience is preferred.

Compensation

The posted annual salary range for this position is $58,661 to $73,530. Pay may vary depending on experience, education, and operational requirements. Bonuses, incentive pay, differentials, and benefits are not included in the stated range.
